Description: 5' 6", 125lbs. Golden-blonde hair, held back in a runner-tail. Green-hazel eyes, nice, feminine build. Likes to where dresses and skirts mostly, of blues, greens and golds.

Personality: Tamara is very open and outgoing. She does not consider her lack of eyesight to be a hinderence, but as a blessing that gave her the gifts with music she now has. She is kind and generous, but has little patience for any kind of self-pity from anyone. Though not sympathetic, neither does she feed the pity.

History/Backround: Tarama was born in the cothold of her mother and father near Southern Hold. Mikkale was an abusive man, and after several turns, Kerrin, her mother left him, seeking work and safety at Southern Weyr. Tamara was not born blind. She lost her sight at age 5 from a mysterious ailment. At the Wery, she attended classes with the WEyrharper and helped out where she could in the kitchens with her mother. While at the Weyr she impressed first a bronze flit, and then was given a Queen wher out of a wanderer's clutch. Through the two dragonkin, she learned to see through the flit and wher's eyes but after getting a terrible fever, she lost her hearing. She became very introverted then, until a harper-candidate at the WEyr, Geran helps her to learn to read lips. He brings her out again and after her hearing returned turned her on to music and the idea of becoming a harper.
When she was old enough, she went to the Harper Hall, and was apprenticed, her keen hearing making her an excellent student and performer. She can replay any piece of music she has heard only once and had a very versitile voice. She is tapped by Rossini, the Vocal Master at the Hall. She was been given a break, and went gone back to Southern Weyr to see her mother and friends. Upon finding out that G'ran had transferred to the new Weyr, Mountain Song, she then decided to go and see him there, to thank him for all the help and enouragement he'd given her. Tamara stayed at Mountain Song until her Mother and brothers arrived, also transferring from Southern with Kerrin's mate P'yoter.
She returned to the Southern Hall, and fell under the scutiny of one of the fostered Holder boys, Tennad of Bitra Hold. He persued her relentlessly, with Tamara continuing to refuse his unwanted advances. Finally, she sought the advice of G'ran, and he suggested that she transfer down to Mountain Song permenantly. She took this advice and with her situation explained to the Master was allowed to transfer to study under Master Gullian. Her problems followed her, however, with the latest clutch of her Wher Glitter being attacked, losing all but two eggs. The eggs were saved for Ezrahler, an ex-rider that was also blind, and his assistant Sofirre. Tamara was initially attracted to Sofirre, but the time she's spent with Ezralher, and his kind and gentle soul has really touched her.
With the Southern Harper Hall opening, Tamara was given the choice of either staying with Master Gullian or transferring to the new Hall. Tamara chose to remain with Master Gullian, feeling safer in the protection of the weyr and her friends and family there.
Tamara's growing relationship with Ezrahler created a rift between herself and her mother, and G'ran, both of which disapproved of her being with such an older man. Tamara subbornly ignored their advice and continued on her chosen path, not speaking to either. However five months after they declared their love for each other, Ezrahler chose to leave Mountain Song with his Master Hearler brother Joaquin. Though she tried not to show it to him, Tamara was devestated. For the next several months, she was depressed and kept to herself, working on her technique, but not doing anything creative.
Four months after Ezrahler left, G'ran came to see Tamara, and they were able to patch up their friendship, and thus helped Tamara get past Ezrahler. Only a couple of sevenday later, she was attacked by someone claiming Tennad was responsible, something she found easy to believe, and was saved again by G'ran. Old feelings that she'd felt for G'ran became to well up in her again, but she kep them to herself, not forgetting how he felt about age differences. She didn't want to lose his friendship again. She began to spend more time with him though, as friends, talking and sharing her music with him.

Personality: Quiet, and perceptive. Her eyes are always looking around, and will focus intently on people and things as she is the eyes for her impressed. She isn't very sociable with other of her species, and almost never leaves Tamara's side.
