Description:  Saline is 5'5" tall and heavy set. She has grey eyes and light brown hair with gray streaks. She wears long dresses that are usually dark in color and befitting her station. Her face has a few stress wrinkles. She mostly wears a smile that can be deceiving at times especially if you were caught at mischief.

Personality: She is a sweet woman who is never angry but she will paddle your bottom if you get caught in mischief. She does not like slackers and will find something for you to do if she catches you standing around. She is respectful to those in a higher station and give respect to anyone who gives it to her. She takes her work seriously.

History: She grew up in Southern Weyr. She came from a large family with six sisters and five brothers, along with quite a few fostered children. Her mother was a headwoman at Southern Weyr and her father was a Master Smith at Southern Weyr. She is the youngest of all her siblings. She had three brothers and two sisters who were bonded with dragon. The rest of her siblings were apprenticed to different crafts. She took after her mother and learning how to cook and clean. She started off doing drudgery work and worked her way up. She bonded to a watchwher at the age of 12. At the age of sixteen she married a man named Terril, who was an apprentice to her father. Her parents died when she turned 30. They both stayed at Southern Weyr. She had her first child at the age of seventeen and five more after that. Her eldest child is about to turn 20 and the following are 16, 12, 8, 5, and 3. (all NPC's if somebody wants to play one of her children.) She has fostered a few others, as well. She has three boys: 20, 5,3 and two girls: 16, 12. Her eldest daughter is a gold dragonrider in one of the Northern Weyrs and her eldest son is a weyrleader in a northern weyr. Her youngest daughter stays with her family and is going to try being a Harper. When they were looking for new people to come to the weyr her husband suggested they go somewhere new.

Pets: A bronze wher named Manark. He is 24 turns old. He is a bright bronze color with faded bronze short stubby wings that can't fly. He is of average size for his age. He is very protective of his bonded and her family and often sleeps outside and stays with them when they are out to warn them of danger. He has been seen following her children around especially the younger two boys, keeping them out of trouble. He often warns his bonded if any of her children are getting into trouble. He is only slightly more intelligent than others like him (Think smart dog intelligence)

A brown flit named Sand. Hatched 12-19. Sand is a massive brown exactly the same color as the sand in the hatching pots.

A bronze flit named Polish. Hatched 12-19. Polish who hatched only a few moments after his brown brother is noticable smaller than his Sand counterpart. His richly burnished, quinticential shades leave no doubt that he is a bronze.

A blue wher named Vader. He hatched on 7.20.04 He is head strong and was the first to hatch. He is very fast. He is a dark navy blue with long lanky legs and a far too long body with tiny tiny wings. He was born from a clutch that Manark fathered and is as intelligent as his father if not more so.

Manark and Vader get along well enough as long as Vader knows that Manark is the leader. Vader tendency to be more head strong than his father has led to a few clashes between them but he is as protective of Saline as Manark.

These two are quite a pair. One is hardly ever seen without the other. Some say that Sand and Polish should have been born in the same pot because their thinking runs often parallel. They usually eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. They make good runners for Saline because they can work together and carry heavier objects than one flit alone can. They are very protective of each other.
