Rider S'rilean on Lanagath

Description: 5' 9'', with short wavy brown hair, green eyes, and dimples that come out when he smiles, which he does fairly often. He's a typical lanky boy, finally catching up with others his age, and then some as he's sprouted taller in the last two turns.  But he makes up for his akward build in speed and agility. His clothing is usually a little worn and torn from rough play and work. 

Personality: A quick wit and a quick mind, he also rarely stands still. Though when you can get him to pay attention he can learn almost anything with ease. It's getting him to pay attention *long enough* that's the challenge. He was a willing student though, and didn't *try* to cause the Weyrling Master trouble, though Lanagath seemed able to do that for him quite well. Still, they survived Weyrling Training.

History: Sorilean is the son of beastcrafters at High-Reaches Hold. His mother died when he was only a toddler, and his father fostered him out to his mother's sister at Fort Hold. Sorilean's foster mother, Zirla, was a short, dumpy woman, but loving, with seven children of her own, and four or five foster children at any one time. Sorilean fit right in with the rowdy bunch, but was also able to play much as he pleased when he wasn't in classes. He was always good with animals, which Zirla encouraged, expecting him to go into his parents' craft, but Sorilean became more interested in helping heal injured animals, and the Hold's Master Healer noticed, and Sorilean was Apprenticed to the Healer Hall at the age of nine. He loved the hall, though his teachers found themselves with quite an active student. He learned quickly, but only when he was actually paying attention. It wasn't that he was purposefully ignoring them, it was that his mind was always taking in something new, thinking on something else, and often switching between two or three ideas at the same time. He can keep track of an amazing amount of information. He has learned quite a bit, having proven that his one area in which he has patience is with his patients. Most recently, he was allowed to go on a trip with a Master down to the Gather at Southern Hold. Sorilean was Searched, taken back to the Weyr, and Impressed on the first try. Lanagath was a loveable, if slightly odd dragon, with a knack for getting in trouble, and a very odd metabolism. Constantly eating nearly twice what the other hatchlings would, the large blue still managed to remain slender, except for periods of roughly a month, when he would do nothing but eat and sleep, gorging himself until his belly was round and fat like an egg-heavy gold and he'd get to looking rather chunky. Then, almost unnaturally, all that fat would melt away as the blue shot up again. After finishing training, S'rilean was eager to come to Mountain Song for the chance to be useful, and it is thought that perhaps Southern's Weyrling Master was just glad to have him elsewhere for a while.

Dragon Description: A whorling pale sky blue all over, and very very large for a blue, towering larger than most any dragonet normally at a hatching, except the rest of his clutch, which were mostly larger than he. Lanagath also has a bottomless pit for a stomach. His hyper nature causes him to burn energy at quite a rate, so he's constantly eating. He'll eat til his belly bulges, but he'll never gain weight. Not as long as he's a growing hatchling anyway!

Dragon Personality: Eager, curious, and hyper, very much like his rider. This is good because they get along, but possibly bad because sometimes neither is able to remain focused. Though, in general, Lanagath is more focused on the task at hand than S'rilean.
