Weyrling Roux on Green Amoureth

Player: Fox Treymayne

Name: Roux (Actual name is Genevieve)
Age: 18
Rank: Journeywoman Weaver (Master's Daughter), Candidate

Description: She's average height, about 5' 7". She's willowy but still womanly, graceful. She's known for her hands. She has long fingers and narrow palms with delicate fingernails. Her hair is very long and comes to about mid-thigh with curls at the end. Now she keeps it braided up close to her head though. It was normally bright orange but recently has been dyed a dark brown color. Her eyes are a light brown with green towards the middle. She has kind of a lazy smile always on her lips and half-lidded eyes.

Personality: She's usually very open, but due to having to remain hidden she has to keep some of her more personal answers cryptic. She used to be popular for her empathetic attitude. If there was a problem it was her they went to talk to about it. She's understanding, and often trusting, to a fault. She has been taken advantage of several times. But though it hurt her, she hasn't let it
stand in the way of her talent. Otherwise she has a strong and giving personality that makes others listen to her as well. She has a voice she expresses when the time is right.

Gender/preference: Female, Heterosexual

History: Genevieve is the eldest daughter of Master Weaver Orulk. She also has two elder brothers, Gerulk and Orukail. When Gen was born she was given a name passed down for generations in Orulk's family. His wife, Cheristy, was surprised at her husbands affection for their youngest child, but passed it off for pride.Genevieve grew up as any normal child in the Weaver Hall would. She attended harper classes and learned how to play the flute. She was thought to have the talents of a harper, but she chose to apprentice at the hall of her family instead. Under the pressure of her father, or course. It wasn't until she was a senior apprentice that Genevieve noticed her father treated her differently than most other fathers did with their kids. He often wanted to hug her and bought her nice clothes. When she started into puberty the clothes and hugs began to change though. They were more
revealing and colorful. He wanted her to spend more time at home with him instead of in the Hall with the other apprentices. The hugs became a little more intimate and bothered Genevieve. It was also strange how he never seemed to let Cheristy see how he felt.

As the years passed things got worse. Gen didn't want to spend any more time with her family, especially if her father was going to be there. And her brothers were beginning to treat her the same way. She began to consider talking to her mother about it. One night Orulk and Gerulk cornered her though, and threatened her. If she *EVER* told, she would regret it. Her mother would be so angry! When Genevieve walked the tables to journeywoman several months ago there was a huge party. Family from all around were invited. The celebration totally burnt the young woman out and she retired early. Several candlemarks later she woke with a start. Everyone was silent, the place was sleeping. Someone stood at the end of her bed. Orulk put a hand over her mouth and
tried to pull her out of the bed, but as she kicked and flailed she freed her mouth. The commotion she rose cause the Master to flee and brought Cheristy to her side. Genevieve, her eyes flooded with tears, divulged everything to her terrified mother. The next morning a harper came for Gen, telling Master Orulk her services were needed in the Harper hall. There her hair was dyed, she
was given a new name and clothes as they began to separate Cheristy's small family. Gen's younger sisters were suddenly apprenticed out to other halls or sections of their same hall away from their father. Orulk suspected his actions had made his family scatter, but Cheristy never left him. Perhaps to protect the other young girls. There was not enough substantial evidence to
charge Orulk with anything, but the Harper hall was kind enough to comply anyway.

Gen's disguise assisted in hiding her from her father, as he *did* try to search for her. Perhaps dispose of her before she could ruin his reputation. She was sent to Southern Boll as a very accomplished Journeywoman Weaver. She was greeted warmly in the way most Southern Boll folk do. A gather a few months after she arrived brought Northern dragons from all the Weyr down to enjoy the celebration. Gen, now Roux, was flirting a little with a young bluerider when his dragon suddenly took an interest in the
conversation. After exchanging a few words with his mount, the young man was happy to announce they were Searching her. After sending a lengthy letter to her mother it was decided she would try her luck standing for Queen Monaryth's upcoming clutch. "Roux" packed her things and transferred to the new Weyr.
