Description: 5' 9'', 160lbs, all muscle. Shoulder length, dark hair (just one shade lighter than black), and piercing storm-gray eyes. Her hair was most often pulled back severely in a runner-tail, but when let loose falls mostly straight with a gentle wave. Her skin is lightly tanned from a life spent out-of-doors, that color that almost glows in any light. She does not burn. She may be considered by some to be beautiful, but it is natural and she pays it no mind. However, she does have a powerful presence that draws attention to her: useful in command situations, unwanted in the social setting. When she gets extremely focused on work, she tends to forget to eat, making her lean and somewhat thin on occasion, though never dangerously so. Her usual dress is pants and tunics or blouses, with low boots, in browns, creams, white, and occasional greens. However, also recently, she has added some soft greens, purples, and gray and silver to her wardrobe.

Personality: Perfectionist. She's very detail oriented, good at being the leader, but will take direction from any competent superior. Always well mannered and polite, unless, for some reason, you manage to irk her sensibilities. Confident in her own abilities, though not proud or boastful, she is quiet in social situations, and would prefer reading a good hide or taking a long walk than wild festivities. While she's not into frippery, she does put a store in personal health and hygiene, and spends free time in active pursuits such as swimming, hiking, and rock climbing. She is frugal with her marks, big on cleanliness, and not flashy. All of her perfection however, used to hide her discomfort with sexual encounters, though she is not entirely the prude she appears to be, having had a more colorful sexual background when younger.

History: Raised in High-Reaches Weyr, the daughter of young weyr-mates (Brown rider T'ren and Green rider Illira), though her father died in thread fall when she was very small. She was fostered by the Weyr's Beastmaster's sister until she showed more of an interest in dragon healing and was apprenticed out to the Dragonhealer at Ista Weyr at the age of twelve. She reached Journeyman status at the age of sixteen and returned to High-Reaches. Then, to learn the specifics of dragon healing in the south and continue her training in general (that and because it has been realized that Southern could use another healer), she went to Southern.

While in Southern, Rania found herself in a friendship with S'dan, a good looking blue Weyrling who clearly liked her a lot. Rania however, after her history of bad relationships, was nervous and skeptical about letting it go any further. Fortunately for her, they couldn't go further physically because of Weyrling rules. After several months, Rania grew restless, and got permission to go back North to visit friends and family. There, she ran into Biaren, an old lover from her Apprentice days, with whom she had always had a love/hate relationship on the personal and professional levels. While there, there was a severe human illness going around the hold, and Rania was unable to leave during the quarentine. So she chipped in working with Biaren as best she could to help with a cure. They ended up in bed again briefly, though both knew it was more for the sex and companionship, not out of any romantic intent. 

Rania finally returned to Southern, catching up on all the news with the Master, though a little alarmed at his ill health. She finally got to speak with S'dan again, and admitted her fears, and explained why, but agreed she was willing to try, because she definitely felt something for him. They kissed again, and this time she definitely felt something. She has settled back into the quiet of Weyr-life in the South quite well, and recently decided she needed to be made-over a little, and went to a green weyrling friend of hers for advice which led to her new haircut -an improvement over the hacked-off short she had done for convenience up north- and new clothing. She was tired of being so distant from everyone else around her and was ready to start trying the *social* thing.  

Much to Rania's surprise, after witnessing dozens of hatchings, she Impressed Myrrnith, a green daughter from gold Zaurynth's first clutch. The tiny green was scratched by her brother as she hatched, and called out to Rania in pain. The dragon healer was at her dragon's side in an instant. She focused on her studies, and continued working in the Dragon Infirmary as part of her chores. Rania made it to graduation with no major incidents. She was informed, just before graduation, that she would be tranferring south as Mountain Song Weyr needed riders and with her healer knowledge she would be doubly useful. Rania agreed and naturally S'dan wished to transfer with her. Because of paperwork and scheduling, Rania went down a few days earlier, and was surprised to find Biaren there. Her notice that S'dan had arrived was him exploding in on a rather racy conversation between Rania and Biaren - which was in reference to old times not anything current - and jumped to the wrong conclusion. A major fight ensued and Rania decided to give S'dan time to cool off and be mature. But her thoughts took a natural turn, wondering just *why* their relationship suddenly seemed so shaky. When he tried to apologize, she realized that, as she was his first real love, perhaps they weren't as meant to be as S'dan had thought. Perhaps she had been, though she regretted it, right about being unsure  about a relationship from the beginning. When he apologized at Turn's end, she broke up with him and through herself into her work as a Rider at the new Weyr. 

Rania didn't expect to end up in any other relationships. And, indeed, aside from a friendship that included the occasional tumble in the furs with Bronzerider J'yk, she managed just fine. Until she and J'yk both realized that, unlike any of their previously relationships, theirs WORKED!

Description: A dark forest green, with an even darker green sprinkled down her back and tail and across the top-side of her wings. Myrrnith is a small green. 
Personality: Myrrnith is curious and outgoing, much more comfortable in large groups than Rania will likely ever be, but was quick to run to "safety" with Rania when something would happen that she wasn't sure about as a hatchling. That tendency has dimmed with age and experience, though the young green is still uncertain about many things.
