Sr. Weyrwoman Parly on Gold Elishath of Monaco Bay Weyr
Player: Fox Treymayne
Name: Parly
Age: 29 (10.12)
Rank: Sr. Weyrwoman of Monaco Bay Weyr
Description: Parly stands about five feet two inches tall. She has medium dark roanish colored skin and dark roan red hair just long enough to be pulled into a runner tail with dark black patches here and there. Her eyes appear very large, bright blue framed by dark eyelashes the color of her hair. They seem to be laughing when you are talking to her. On her throat is a large tattoo of a red and black reticulated frog with golden eyes that covers the Guard insignia that used to be there. Her frame is now womanly and very very lean. Her hands, arms and legs are long and spidery. Hidden beneath, though, is a long acquired strength and grace. Across her chest she sometimes wears a thick wher-hide strap, which carries on her back a long sword, intricately designed. She carries beneath her robes a few knives, as well.
Personality: Parly's demeanor has been described as commanding to say the least. She has 'come out of her shell' since the Impression of her Gold Queen and makes the best of it whenever she can. Though often under stress from her enclosed life at the Weyr, she tends to try and fit in with the generally easy going weyr folk. Although her past is rocky, an aspect she keeps carefully hidden, she has done an excellent job at earning her Weyr's respect.
History: Parly was born to a woman in the Crom mines. Although woman are rarely
allowed to carry a child, this particular one belonged to the Head
Guard, the woman, his favorite. As soon as Parly was weaned she as taken from her
mother, she never saw her again. The Head Guard raised his daughter carefully. He had plans for her. He taught her the arts of quiet
movement, weaponry and silent attack. Parly was trained along with two other girls,
her sisters. They called each other by code names, one, two or three. Parly, was one.Parly caught on to her father's tricks quickly. Her body was lean and
strong by the time she hit puberty. When she was finally old enough, her father sent her to be married to a man he'd chosen for her. Shortly after the
betrothal was announced, the man decided he wanted to "try out" his wife to be. Parly allowed him to get just close enough to warn him away again,
with her knife. The man nearly lost his life to a quick placed slash to the sensitive area above the collar bone. She knew this was bad for her
beloved father's reputation and decided to leave.By now the man was old and paled from running the Mines for so long, so
he did not fight her. Parly traveled to the Crom Hold and made a decent living performing knife shows. While she was there she got along well with the
other men and few women who also practiced the deadly arts. One of them was the
watchrider. The bronzerider made a comfortable acquaintance with the young fighter.
About a turn after Parly's arrival at Crom, a Gather was held at Ista. The rider took Parly with him as a date and entertainment. The moment she
arrived, several blue, green and brown dragons surrounded her. Her rider companion approached her from the huddle of other riders and told her
that
she had been Searched. But there was no clutch here. Parly decided she would find a quiet place to begin a new life at and the same place expecting
a
clutch soon. Southern Weyr. Parly arrived at the Weyr without any pomp. She was assigned
candidate's tasks which she completed by the end of each day. She mostly kept to
herself. Hunting, scouting and traveling as she pleased. But the Weyr was an adventurous place that pulled her in. Once, she was even caught off
guard by a rider she'd met. His dragon had lost the mating flight, but not the lust
that drove the rider. He was not insistent, but the roan candidate fell for the man's charms, for her first time. She was selected by the queen
dragon to stand for her gold egg. When the queen hatched, she caught Parly by the
shoulders, but did not Impress. Instead she chose a harper from the stands, Aria. Parly was fairly devastated, feeling like now she would surely
never be accepted.
Until the Junior's clutch hatched the following month! Parly stood with the other female candidates, chanting a saying over and over in her mind to
keep her heart from jumping about. Suddenly, the shells cracked and revealed a shining queen. She wreaked havoc on two of the female candidates for
finally meeting eyes with her rider, Parly, making her Weyrwoman of Elishath.
Parly's life at the Weyr became slowly more and more stressed. Her forced enclosure in the Weyr walls due to her Impression made her agitated and
often irritable. She was finally allowed to relieve the stress by teaching self-defense classes. The Weyrwoman noticed Parly's restlessness, and
though she hated to lose another Junior, Monaco Bay lost their Senior just a month
after Aria transferred to Mountain Song. She put Parly's name into the nominations for the next Senior, and soon the woman was packing her
things. Senior Weyrwomanship was finalized when Slloth caught Elishath.

Dragon Description: Elishath is small for a gold, about a third smaller than Monaryth. Her body is longer and lankier than most golds. She looks more stealthy and graceful than motherly. Her hide is pinkish gold brindled with bronze, making her look like the Terran "black hills gold". She has a long scar down her right side, starting at her shoulder and zigzagging down to her right foot where she has one toenail missing from being struck by lightning during one disastrous mating flight.
Dragon Personality: Elishath is very friendly. She loves to talk and chatter, mostly with young dragons. The gold has a better relationship with her hatchlings than any other gold can boast of. Though she has the typical dragon memory, for some reason she never forgets her babies, their names, or their riders, even though they aren't her responsibility anymore.
Strengths/Weakensses: Basic short memory. Plus, he lack of socializing with most males her own age seems to leave her suitors up for grabs, which leaves no end of frustration for poor Parly.
