Description: October is one of the rare young men on Pern that actually grows facial hair. He has a neatly trimmed and well kept goatee and mustache the color of copper dulled with the odd brown hairs growing in. This contrasts strangely against his very shaggy ebony brown hair and dark bushy eyebrows. His eyes are also dark brown, nearly black, but he mostly keeps them hidden behind a layer of thick brown hair anyway. His body is very lean and muscular from his favorite sport, wrestling. His reflexes are unsettlingly quick, especially for a person that looks so droll and sleepy all the time. His typical outfit consists of a brightly colored, flared shirt, and a dark pair of comfortable pants.

Personality: 'Tober is a Pernese "hippie". He loves to relax, play his music, just play in general, and enjoy some 'free love'. A charmer with his good looks and soft melodies, he has brought more than one woman to his bed with his skills, and sometimes they came in groups. He behaves older than his age usually, which leaves those he first meets a little deceived. He has a hard working side of him too, as long as he isn't working alone. He enjoys 
the company of others and works best when he has someone to keep him company, even if his companion isn't doing any of the work.

History: October was born to a Trader pair that were stopped at the Harper Hall for the cold season. 'Tober's mother fell ill shortly after his birth due 
to the cold and remained at the Hall for sometime under the watchful eye of the wagon and Hall healers.As a result October grew up in limbo between the free living and colorful Trader band that stayed for sometime, and the strict, hardworking life of the Harper Hall. He became well acquainted with the journeywoman that taught the Teaching Ballads to the Hall young ones. He made a friend in the young woman who took a liking to him and taught him to play the gitar. He had a knack for it his family hadn't foreseen, and before long his fingers were flying across the strings so quickly he was able to amaze some of the Masters.For his eleventh turn birthday, October was given three gifts that changed his life. The first, was a flit egg. It later hatched a burly, bronze-brindled brown he named Zed. The flit had a bass voice that coupled nicely with his second gift, a gitar of his own, made by the Master Instrumentalist himself. This gift was closely followed by an opportunity he couldn't pass up. He was offered to apprentice at the Harper Hall. His mother cried happily, his father patted him on the back, and he was given his knots.Five turns later 'Tober was joined by the rest of his family for a major surprise. He walked the tables to Journeyman and put into the care of one of the Masters at the Harper Hall. To celebrate the evening, the Master's queen flit decided to rise to mate, and ironically, it was Zed that caught her. Sevendays into his training October was presented with an egg from that clutch. His Master was delighted, sure that he had picked the only bronze from the small clutch to give to his young student. However, when a crack formed, and the flit spilled out, it was….a brown. A burly red-patched brown flit with a voice like his father's, named Puk.Barely a sevenday ago, 'Tober and his Master were visiting Southern Hold to visit the Master's sister who was a Journeywoman there. While there, a visiting blue Searched out October for Monaryth's latest clutch. 

October had barely arrived when it was time for him to get onto the sands. He barely knew the other candidates. But it was one of the first eggs 
to reveal his life mate. The brown took his time, pacing and choosing carefully, before he stopped in front of October. In a deep, level 
voice, he entered his rider's mind and named himself as Goth.

Desc: Zed is a round-bodied, wide shouldered brute of a brown. He's on the smaller side of the brown scale, but he makes himself look bigger when 
he poofs out his brindled brown-bronze body. He has a stern personality, but can be outgoing with the right people. He has a bass hum that he uses 
in accompaniment with his Pet's music.
