Personality: Marline is very outgoing, but soft-spoken around Masters or people of rank. She has a soft voice in the alto range. When she is with her friends though, she can be very boisterous. She loves her craft and is rarely without her harp, her most prized possession. She loves to hold impromptu performances with Tamara.

Background: Marline was born at Igen Hold, the third of four children to weaver crafter parents. She showed an interest in music, and the hold harper encouraged her in the craft. At ten, she apprenticed to the Harper Hall. She made a few friends, but when a new apprentice arrived, Tamara, blind and with her wher, she was dared by her friends to touch the wher. Spurred by peer pressure, she did, and found out that Tamara and Glitter were nice people. She left the clique to become friends with Tamara. The two have been the best of friends ever since. Marline asked to transfer to the Southern Harper Hall so she could be with Tamara again after she transferred back down, and to meet all the people Tamara kept telling her about.
