Description:  5'7", 140 lbs, blue eyes, shoulder length blonde hair with 2 longer "tails" that fall down her back, slender build, medium complexion that has tanned nicely in the Southern sun. Kira wears both pants and skirts, depending on the occasion. She prefers the colors of her craft, shades of blue, gold, and purples. 

Personality: Kira is an organized, and disiplined harper, taking her job seriously, and always ready to help out, even if it goes beyond the scope of her craft. She is good in a crisis, keeping a level head and helping to keep others calm. She is outgoing, sociable, and curious, but can have a temper when pushed too far. She is also known for holding a grudge for a long time. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, though she will be diplomatic about it.

History: Kira was born at a small beastholder cothold on the coast of Igen on the Big Bay. When she was 5, she and her family took some runners on a ship across the bay headed to Fort Sea Hold. A sudden storm hit the ship, destroying it. She was among only 5 other survivors, rescued by a pod of dolphins. She had no other family, and was taken in by a childless couple at a tiny cothold beholden to Ruatha that specialized in breeding racing runners. She was isolated at the cothold, and showed an aptitude for music and was apprenticed into the Harper Hall when she was 10. The sudden change was refreshing to Kira and she became very gregerious and outgoing, making lots of friends and becoming popular. She was tapped by the Craftmaster Harper and became his apprentice. She walked the tables to Journeyman at 20 and did a few Journeys on both Continents for the Master Harper.

When the position of Weyrharper opened up at Fort Weyr, Kira was chosen to take the job and she transferred there at 28. She kept to her work at the weyr, rarely engaging in any relationships with the Dragonriders beyond friendships. However she become involved with one Bronzerider in a whirlwind relationship that ended with her becoming pregnant with twins. The Bronzerider left her, but Kira kept the twins and continued on, trying to balance being a mother with her work. Several harpers came from the hall to help Kira, but they kept impressing at the hatchings, so when the Master Harper visited during one hatching, Kira jokingly requested help *over* impression age. A few months later, Gullian arrived. Kira, who had never had any lasting relationships, and had been hurt badly in her most recent, still found herself attracted to the handsome, journeyman harper. Kira continued to work for the Master Harper as well as her Weyrharper duties, with Gullian's assistance. Her work with the Master Harper also earned her some enemies, which resulted in her infant daughters being brutally attacked, and nearly killed. Though the perpetrators were caught, the ultimate person behind it never was...

As they worked together, she found there was a mutual attraction between them, which turned to love and they married soon after. Less than a turn after they married, Kira became pregnant with her first child with Gullian. A son, Matthew, was born. Kira and Gullian's relationship remained strong throughout the turns, and when Gullian was offered the position of Weyr Harper for a new Weyr in the South, Kira encouraged Gullian to take it. The Master Harper helped them out by also making Kira his representative in the South, giving them both assignments in the South.
