Description: Kasitara is tall for a female of her age, about 6', with broad shoulders and a heavy build. Her hair is light brown with reddish highlights that come out in the sunlight, falling down her back. She usually braids it. She has one green eye and one blue eye, an odd quirk that sets her apart. Her skin is well-tanned, so that even in winter she has bronzed skin. She prefers breeches to dresses, though she will wear a dress if the occasion warrants it.

Personality: Overall an outgoing person, not afraid to speak her mind on issues. She always tries to keep a sunny disposition, though when 
she loses her temper, it's something to fear. Her mood does tend to change rapidly, but as she grows, she's working more to keep a lid on her emotions. When she does fly off the handle, she usually comes and apologizes to the person afterwards, and will feel guilty until they accept the apology.

History: Kasitara is the daughter of Weyrwoman Nalina on Daeriteth of  High Reaches Weyr, and Masterharper Bertram. Nalina was new to her 
position when Bertram came to the Weyr, and her Weyrleader had a habit of sharing other beds. When he crossed the line by bringing one affair 
out into the open, Nalina decided to make him jealous and pulled Bertram into her bed. Unfortunately, things became awkward very quickly, and Bertram wound up leaving the Weyr because Nalina made him uncomfortable. When Nalina discovered she was pregnant, she made an 
attempt to contact Bertram, but he never opened her letters when she sent them. Kasitara was born, and Nalina fostered her to her widowed 
sister, Myasa.

As soon as Kasitara was old enough to travel /between/ safely, Nalina started bringing her from the small cothold where Myasa lived to the Weyr on a regular basis. The girl's father was something that was not kept a secret: Kasitara resembled Bertram far too strongly for Nalina to deny that the Harper had been the father. Kasitara grew up with two mothers and no father, knowing only that her mother had caused Bertram to leave the Weyr, and thinking that she had been in love with the Harper.

Kasitara inherited some of her father's talent, so she was apprenticed at 11 Turns and sent to Harper Hall. There, she met her father for the first time. She was desperate to get to know him, and eventually they did come to spend time together. He was careful never to favor her in any respect for fear of bias.

While at the Hall, she was taken under the wing of Master Brish, whose specialty was voices. When Kasitara was 16 Turns old, she accompanied Master Brish on a visit to Mountain Song Weyr to visit Gullian. Not long after they arrived at the Weyr, Kasitara was Searched and began Candidate classes. The first egg to hatch from Monaryth's clutch was gold Zahavath, who claimed the Harper apprentice as her rider. Both Nalina and Bertram were on hand to congratulate her, which gave Kasi hope that her parents might get back together.

She settled into Weyrling life with ease, and found herself working with her fellow goldriders, Chantal and Jenna, more than any others in their class. The three of them didn't seem to click right away, even after a forced wilderness hike in which they absolutely had to work together to get back.

Kasitara became extremely unhappy with a development in her life. Bertram found a woman named Ginnia that he had fallen in love with, and she was stationed at the Weyr. Kasi was shocked that her FATHER would begin dating again, and made her displeasure known. But after talking with her mother some, and the news that Ginnia was pregnant, Kasi stopped hating the Papercrafter for stealing her father.

Her good mood was aided by the growing affection between herself and D'nel of Ebonth. He asked her as a date to the bash thrown by Lord Kindrel of Thunder Skies, and she found herself liking the bronzerider very much. They continued to spend time together, and Kasitara chose to be with D'nel when Zahavath rose -- even before it was Ebonth who caught her. Zahavath's first clutch was a healthy eleven eggs, and the gold was very proud of herself. Kasi and D'nel grew closer, and she's starting to think about a future with him.

Description: Zahavath has a shimmering yellow-golden hide, almost like watered silk. She has a delicate build, and carries herself regally,like the queen she is.

Personality: Very confident, and also quite flirty. She takes measure of any bronze or brown she meets and starts judging how well they could fly after her -- the only exception is her father Tadrith, but that too may change. Very demanding of her rider sometimes, and utterly certain that she's right.

Strengths/Weaknesses: A little on the small side for a gold, but that could change as she grows. Her big strength is her confidence, but her weakness is her love for the males of her species.
