History: Kapugen grew up in a medium-sized Hold. His parents had problems raising him because he tended to be very mischievous. He often got into trouble in his Hold, especially when he hung out with his friends, who often called him Kapu for short. Finally, in desperation, his parents sent him away to earn his keep at age 11. He went off and became a Tanner, although he also worked a little bit with the Woodcrafters when he would get into trouble. The work did calm him down a bit, helping to get his mischievousness under control. His growth spurts came early, though that was the only part of puberty that did. Finally, he was sent off to Mountain Song as an Apprentice Tanner so that he could get more experience. His Master had also heard that Mountain Song needed a few more Tanners. Once at the Weyr, he went to find his master, but was Searched just as he had found him. At the Hatching following this, Kapugen Impressed a gorgeous, but frightened little brown dragon named Quarth. This turned Kapugen to K'gen, and made the former tanner extremely happy, and guaranteeing that some of his formerly mischievious energy would be turned towards his dragon.
