Description: Light brown, wavy hair kept just long enough to curl around the ears and brush the base of his neck, and Kalan's eyes are a warm hazel with golden flecks. Of average build, roughly 5' 10', with lean muscle, and a very light tan on mostly fair skin.

Personality: Quiet, but friendly and solid, Kalan is hard working and has a presence without being overly intimidating or in the way. Often smiling, his sense of humor is subtle, like most of his responses, though not difficult to understand. Kalan is very open about who he is, while not offering up everything about himself at once. He has very little ego, just a soft self-confidence. His interests include his craft, good white wine, and he dabbles in painting.

History: Oddly enough, son of Dolphin holders Kalan found, on a trip North once, that he really loved forested lands. Moving inland in the South, he happened to get involved once in a conversation about papercrafting, and the new interest stuck after his first try at it. He spent most of his career in one spot, until he transferred to Mountain Song Weyr to help out Journeywoman Ginnia in starting a small workshop to supply the Southern Harper Hall specifically and the Weyr and local Holds.
