Description: A fellow of medium height, only about 5' 9'', and thin, with dark brown, shaggy hair, and deep brown eyes that almost seem golden, like a canine's. He tends to dress in earthtones.

Personality: Relaxed, but fairly quiet. Only talks when he has something to say, but it's usually worth listening to when he actually talks. Has a more subtle sense of humor than his dragon.

History: Raised in Telgar Hold, the son of a Baker and a Healer, Ketkat was an only child. With his parents constantly busy, he was often left to entertain himself outside of classes with the Hold harper, and liked to spend his time down in the Beastcrafter pens, where he discovered he was a natural with animals, even the ones other people couldn't get near. By the time he was seven turns old, the Beastcrafters were allowing him to help out every chance they could get him, and officially apprenticed him at eight. He remained at the Hold even after getting his Journeyman status, but he was searched on his way between Telgar and Bitra Hold, and Impressed at Telgar to brown Reeceth. More boisterous than K'tkat, it was a bit of an adjustment for the quiet man, but Reeceth was a great friend, and the two got along well. They finished their training easily, but K'tkat didn't like things being so crowded all the time, and willingly.

At the Weyr, K'tkat found himself friends with a girl named Araline, whom he ended up in bed with once after a flight. He was there upon her impression, and had to coax her to go to her dragon after she was caught in the act of swiping the Masterharper's pouch! He remained friends with Araline during her Weyrlinghood, though he wasn't sure how to handle her obvious interest in him. This was complicated by his definite interest in her, while she was entirely off limits! He didn't out and out 'avoid' her, but he really wasn't sure what to do about things, and his usual shy nature only complicated the issue.

Life took an unexpected turn when, after several months grounded after bad injuries in threadfall, Reeceth -who had lost quite a bit of weight while stuck under infirmary care- managed to catch junior gold Vinyarth, and sire a clutch, making K'tkat one of the Weyrleader's seconds. K'tkat...who ended up in bed with a rather amorous, lovely woman, had to deal with the fact that he really 'did' have emotions he couldn't ignore. Done with frustration, he was more than willing when Araline arrived at his weyr during her green's first flight, even though Reeceth wasn't chasing. The two chasers belonged to a pair of long-term weyr mates, and K'tkat finally found peace with the amorous feelings he'd been trying, unsuccessfully to quash for nearly two turns.
