Description:  5' 11" and 180lbs. His hair is wavy and brownish-blonde, and just short of shoulder-length.. His eyes are hazel. His build is average, though well-muscled. His face good looking but not memorable as distinctly handsome. He prefers to wear browns, greens, and his harper blue.

Personality: Gullian is calm and friendly, though somewhat reserved with his affections, and fairly quiet when not performing. Life has tempered him, and he has learned to adapt and go with whatever life throws at him, though he has a ready smile and a pleasant humor, mostly in thanks to his beloved wife and children. He's always been a big family man.

History: Born to minor cot holders in Ruatha territory, Gullian was the middle child of seven children: four boys and three girls. Having no wish to be a farmer, he was thrilled when his parents allowed him to be apprenticed at Harper Hall at the age of eleven, where he met a young apprentice named Kallia, one year his junior. They became friends and, as they grew older, easily became romantically involved. After they had both received Journeyman status, he proposed and they were married just after her 20th birthingday. After two years, they had a beautiful baby girl, who they named Miri. Six months later Kallia and both became terribly ill. After two days, Miri died while in the care of the Healers, and Kallia died two days later. Widowed at the age of 24, Guillian poured all of his focus and time into his craft to keep him going. He accepted a Harper route up around High-Reaches to get away from the Hall for a while. After that one, he was sent to Bitra, then Nerat lands, never staying in one place long enough to settle in... and, by design, not long enough to let another woman too close to his heart. Over the years, however, his desperate need to keep moving on slowed, and he settled in a more stable position at Igen hold as their Harper, until he went to Fort Weyr. There he met Kira, and found himself unexpectedly in love again for the first time in what was then fifteen turns. After a whirlwind romance, they were married. Kira already had two girls of her own, but Gullian's wish for a larger family was most certainly granted, less than a turn later, with a son. Eventually, she was granted the position of Southern Master Harper, which meant she was in charge of the Southern continent's harpers for the Masterharper. Gullian accepted the position of Weyrharper for the newly forming Mountain Song Weyr, and they moved their family south.

Things have not been quiet for Gullian, or his family, since coming to Mountain Song. Only a few months into their time there K'ain, the father of the twins, kidnapped Kelsey. Gullian nearly lost it, and insisted on being part of the rescue. He was allowed to duel K'ain over the issue, and did permanent damage to the dragonrider's knee in the fight. It was an ugly duel, but Gullian won, choosing at the end not to take K'ain's life. A few months later, Kira and Gullian welcomed a new baby girl, Kallia. Thinking their family complete, they were unprepared when Kira once more became pregnant, this time delivering twins, a boy (Killian) and a girl (Gina). The delivery nearly killed Kira, and Gullian has been certain since to make sure it doesn't happen again. He loves her, and their whole family, too much for that.

Description: The dusky color of walnut wood, and striated lightly to vary the tone, almost like wood, or the ridges on the nut he is named after. Friendly and curious, a fairly average firelizard personality.

Description: His markings are a little odd, a swirly dark slate-blue and a pale greyish blue. Though it was the symbol on his back that those swirls reminded Gullian of, and gave the tiny fellow his name. Found in a cold clef left by his likely green mother, clef likes to stick close to Gullian when he can.
