Master Harper Gonnegal
Player: Aria
Name: Gonnegal
Age: 63 (9.13.4613)
Rank: Master Harper, Vocal teacher
Description: Average height, and quite thin, with silver-shot blue-gray hair kept up severely in a bun. Her eyes are a startling bright blue. Her clothing is always clean pressed, usually in muted dark blues and greens, or shades of gray. She always stands full erect, and her expression is often stern, though she never seems to raise her voice. A disapproving glance has withered many an Apprentice, and even Journeyman.
Personality: Strict, but soft-spoken, with a crisp alto
that carries without being loud. Firm and severe in expression often, but not
unkind. She takes no nonsense from anyone, in or out of the classroom. Yet she
is surprisingly gentle when the need calls for it in private, and notoriously
fair when meeting out justice, and punishment.
Gender/Preference: Female, Heterosexual
History: A long-time fixture at the Harper Hall, Gonnegal came from a small cot hold beholden to Tillek and a fishing family many many years ago. Apprenticed at the age of thirteen, she attacked her new craft diligently. Gonnegal married at the age of thirty-one, well into her Journeyman, but lost her husband - a Seacrafter named Furm- five turns later in a stormy fishing-accident. They had one child, a daughter named Rill, who joined the farmcraft at age eleven and has since married a small cot-holder, beholden to Telgar, and lives happily with her farm with her three children and husband. They keep in contact, and while they are very different, Gonnegal and Rill are on friendly and affectionate terms. Gonnegal focused on her craft through the hard times, and the good, and made Master at age thirty-nine, when her daughter was only five turns old. Becoming a fixture in the Hall once she became Master, Gonnegal was glad for the chance to move. As much as she loved her room and the Harper Hall, the more spacious Southern Hall seemed an excellent place, and when Masterharper Bertram asked, she was willing.
