Description: On the short side, though not tiny (about 5'7"), with definite curves, though they are only slight padding over muscle from turns of working with stone, enough to soften her appearance and make her appear properly feminine. Her once brown hair has gone to a very pure silver, which she keeps back in a long tail most of the time, though she often lets it fall loose (it falls to mid-back in gentle curls) when she's not working, which gives her a slightly more youthful appearance. Her skin is lightly tanned, though relatively good for her age, as she's not spent inordinate amounts of time outdoors except when her work calls for outdoor carving. Her eyes are a deep blue so rich that it's more indigo. What wrinkles she have are laugh lines.

Personality: Evena is a talker, she loves to know what's going on, and has met many folks in her day and has a great memory for names and faces. Always ready with a smile and a joke, her demeanor often belies how serious she can be about her work...until one sees the almost obessive drive with which she can pursue perfection in a piece. Honest, and tactful most of the time, though capable of being blunt when necessary. A youthful spirit despite her age.

History: Raised by stonecrafter parents -and one of only two children- Evena caught the craft vtol early. She loved doing artistic pieces most, but liked them to have some functional purpose. Her earliest works found homes as door and window stops, paperweights, and other such careers until she moved on to larger pieces. She officially apprenticed at eight, made journeywoman at seventeen, and immediately volunteered to go where ever work was needed. She spent her whole carrer spending a turn here, a few months there, however long it took to do work for various Halls and Holds and Weyrs. Where there were marks to be made, she went. The quality and visual enjoyment of her work commanded more than if the pieces were 'merely' decorative, or 'merely' functional. Evena was married at twenty-two to a miner named Garr, who unfortunately died in an accident seven turns later, leaving her with four young children. Evena returned to her Hall for a few turns, until the children were older, then fostered them with her parents until they chose crafts. Once they were fostered, she went back to travelling work, though she visited them often while they were there. She has continued that lifestyle for the intervening turns, which has now brought her to Mountain Song.
