Description: Ensor's skin is a medium creamy brown tone, with his arms and face being slightly darker because of the sun. He has a little bit of muscle on his arms and legs, but he is still relatively skinny. He has black hair that is usually knotted and dirty. His eyes are a dark brown. He usually wears a gray shirt and blue or black pants. He is about 5'7" and weighs 137 pounds.

Personality: Ensor was raised in a very simple environment, so when he's relaxed he tends to lapse back into "farmboy" mode. He's a little arrogant when it comes to talking about his abilities, but other than that he tends to be a mostly nice guy. He takes a mostly pragmatic view of the world at large, and sees his racing as a way to better his life in the future. He's got a good sense of money, so he gets the most out of people who hire him to race their runners. At heart he's a softie for a girl in distress, and has privately always fancied himself as someone's hero.

History: Ensor spent the first eight Turns of his life at a small cothold just outside of High Reaches Weyr. He was the third child born to his parents. When he was eight, his mother died giving birth to his youngest sister. His father couldn't bear to foster the child out even though his friends advised him to. He packed up and moved everyone south, to a small cothold where he met another woman to love. She had one son that was a Turn older than Ensor -- Yoaghen.

Despite having four siblings, Ensor had always felt alone. Yoaghen provided him with the first true companionship he'd ever had. They were fast friends. They would go out and explore at nights, always being careful never to stray too far. The one time they saw a feline kept them inside at nights for a full month.

When Ensor was 15, both he and Yoaghen were Searched and went to Southern Weyr. Yoaghen Impressed the first time he tried, becoming Y'hen of brown Coronath. Ensor chose to stay as a Candidate in the hopes that he'd Impress too, and he and his brother could be together once more. However, Y'hen broke out of his shell and made friends among his fellow Weyrlings, oftentimes leaving Ensor by himself. Lonely and dejected after three unsuccessful Hatchings, Ensor left the Weyr. He wound up at Paradise River for a Gather and found himself on the back of a runner in a race. He won, much to his surprise, and the Lord Holder of Igen invited him to permanently race his runners.

Ensor gained no small amount of fame in the Turns that followed, traveling all over the Northern Continent and bringing prestige and marks to the Lord Holder. He, too, got richer with each passing sevenday, and began to plan for a future, envisioning himself Lord of his own hold. In the meantime, he kept racing, and was delighted when Lord Ibizan promised him first pick of the new stock from Mountain Song Weyr. He went down himself to inspect them.

At the Weyr, Ensor met a frightened stable hand named Laska and immediately fell for her. She had a lot of emotional trauma in her past, and he was only too glad to act as her protector and shelter her. He arranged to be Searched as a Candidate so he could stay by her -- after all, he'd already been Searched once! However, he wasn't expecting to actually Impress blue Arth. He reassured Laska that he wouldn't desert her now that he was a dragonrider, and has tried to follow up on that as best as he can.

Description: A patchwork hide covering a long, slender, bony frame. Arth has just about every color that could conceivably be called blue on his body. One eyeridge is bright cornflower blue, the other indigo, and so on and so forth. He's much longer than a normal blue, and proportionally less bulky as well.

Personality: An actor, through and through. Arth's personality changes with who he's dealing with: he's exactly what he thinks people will want of him. Overall, he's playful and energetic.
