Description: Derisant has a tall, broad figure, widest in the shoulders.  He's about 6'2" tall and weighs 215 lbs.  He has short, sunny blond hair and cornflower blue eyes that seem darker than usual against his pale skin.  He tends to wear Harper blue, but can *occasionally* be persuaded into something else. 

Personality: Derisant is a rather serious person.  He tends to interpret things literally, and will have to have subtlety or puns explained to him.  He likes to listen, more than anything else, and has to be coaxed into a long conversation.

History: Derisant was born at a small cot hold near Fort, Nammon Hills.  He is the second-oldest of six, and left his family when he was 11 to be apprenticed at the Harper Hall.  He was slow to fit in, but eventually found his niche with singing after his voice settled.  Raised to Journeyman at 20, he was assigned to Southern Boll Hold and stayed there for several Turns.

Derisant hadn't had much contact with his family besides the occasional visit, but one piece of news got his attention.  One of his sisters, Satia, had disappeared from the Woodcrafter Hall, and no one knew where she went.  Distressed, he returned home for a time, but when Satia didn't surface, he eventually returned to Southern Boll.  He was recalled to the Hall after five Turns at Southern Boll and assigned to the new Southern Harper Hall.
