Description: Daladrial is a stocky sort of boy. He's got sandy blonde hair and green eyes. His hair is long, straight, and falls over his face. He's short and powerfully built. He has extremely tan skin, there's almost no white left on him. Almost all of his clothes are dirt and grass stained. He always smells nice from being in the garden all day.

Personality: Daladrial is a very quiet and reserved boy. He doesn't speak unless spoken to, and generally prefers to spend time alone rather than with other people. His love is his plants, and that's where he spends most of the time. He doesn't make friends easily, but he bonds very tightly to those he does make.

History: Daladrial was born in a small community of farmers outside of Paradise River Hold. His parents were two of those farmers. They tithed to Paradise River, but there was still a strong sense of independence among the community. The farms supported each other. If one had a bad year, the others helped them out. Daladrial and his parents lived on the farthest farm from the others, so they were relatively isolated. They grew many things, but their specialties were beans and other green plants.

Once Daladrial got outside, he was reluctant to come back in. He started spending almost all of his time in the garden, tending to the plants, which grew much faster than they normally had, and produced more edible parts. With the extra money they made, Daladrial's parents were able to buy some flowers to grow just for fun. Those, too, flourished under their son's care. Flowers bloomed earlier and brighter than they should have, and plants that should not have been able to grow in the conditions they were planted in grew too. These, too, were eventually sold and the profits grew.

As their farm prospered, Dal began wandering around more. When he was 14, he discovered an abandoned feline kitten. His family took her in and raised her to help them guard the farm. Dal soon found that the feline -- who they'd named Azeala -- was especially protective of him.

When Mountain Song was founded, Dal became interested in possibly leaving the place he'd lived all his life. But he knew that he couldn't get to be in a position of authority unless he held Journeyman rank. It didn't take long to go through the process, and once his rank changed, he moved to the Weyr -- and brought Azeala with him.
