History: The youngest child, and only daughter, of a minor Hold family, she was fostered to the old Lady of Benden Hold and was trained well in the ways of court and society, though had not yet found a good match. She had one romance when she was younger, but they were young, and things did not work out as they had hoped. She had never truly been much interested in marriage since. She continued on in the Lady's service, even helping her to raise her daughters into proper young heirs. When Lady Firienne's daughter, Tournela, went as a suitor to Lord Herron of Southern Hold Caraline accompanied them. Much to everyone's surprise, Lord Herron fell for Caraline instead! They were married, and after only a couple of months, Caraline discovered she was pregnant, which turned out to be two lovely twin girls. The only down side was Herron's first daughter, from his first -now deceased- wife, showed clear dislike of Caraline from the first, refusing to accept Caraline as her step mother, even though Caraline never asked her to accept her as anything more than Herron's wife.
