Description: A lanky, still growing 5'2", Caline's coloring on her face, arms, and legs is a dense, creamy brown. Her hair is black in the winter and dark brown in the summer, worn in a long braid down her back. She has light, smoky brown eyes on her flat face.

Personality: Shy, yet with a quiet determination to learn more about the way the world works. She's soft spoken and generally keeps to herself, yet curious and with the tendency to fixate on a topic.

History: Caline was born into a family with a tradition for fishing. Her older sister Kedran acted more like a mother to her, so she never had a deep connection to her parents. When Kedran left for the Weyr, Caline was only four, and it hurt her deeply. As she grew, she became an introverted child who didn't quite take to the fishing trade the way her older sister had.

At the age of twelve, Caline began to look for other options in her life. Her parents didn't really understand why she wouldn't want to enter the family trade -- everyone did. The only reason Kedran wasn't still a fisher was because she'd been Searched. Caline grew increasingly unhappy until finally she asked for Kedran's help. After asking around at the Weyr, Kedran arranged for Caline to foster at Quartz River Hold and learn alongside the Holders' children.
