Rider B'ren on Bronze Isengarth

Player: Madeleine

Name: B'ren (Biaren)
Age: 22, b. 8.02
Rank: Bronzerider

Description: Biaren is most frequently described as 'devilishly handsome'. He has an impish smile pretty much permanently attached to his face, and he even has a little bit of a curl on either side of his head, giving him the appearance of horns -- when he wants his dark brown hair to stick up like that. His eyes are a bright shamrock green and are a very oval shape. His skin is a light, creamy brown naturally, and tans to medium in the summer. He wears skintight clothing no matter what the season, taking every opportunity to show off his well-toned muscles and rock-hard abs. He wears a blue stone around his neck at all times.

Personality: Simultaneously over and under sexed, Biaren has females on the brain all the time. The female species rules all the time that
he's not working as a Healer -- and even then sometimes. He's suave, charming, kind, generous, and everything else that he thinks will get him into a girl's pants. He'd be the perfect mate if he didn't like to sleep around so much. He's scared of the big 'c' word and actively runs from any girl who talks about getting together on even a semi-permanent or semi-formal basis. With males he's open and friendly, but he never seems to hold any real male friendships. He either competes with them or thinks they're too much of wimps.

Gender/preference: Male, Heterosexual (VERY straight)

History: Biaren was born at Igen Weyr, the son of Bronzerider N'der of Kralth and Journeywoman Healer Mikki. She died giving birth to Biaren's sister Gitasi when Biaren was about a Turn and a half. N'der was a wonderful father to Biaren and Girasi even though they were both fostered with the head Cook at Igen. Soon after Mikki died, N'der's bronze won the flight of Jr. Weyrwoman Erinye's gold, Finarth. Erinye's weyrmate, P'num, became so enraged that he struck Erinye. N'der challenged him and wound up killing P'num.

Biaren was too young to understand any of this, but he did come to realize that his father cared about the sad goldrider when he was older. He knew that her daughter was named Perianel, and he tried to play with her, but she never liked him or Gitasi. When he was 11, Perianel Impressed and was gone from his life -- or so he thought.

That same Turn Biaren was apprenticed as a Healer and Gitasi as a Dragonhealer. They both went to Ista Weyr on the recommendation of a Master Healer who was a friend of their father's. By then it was both patently obvious that both Biaren and Gitasi were flirts and open about sexuality. There was a Dragonhealer that Gitasi knew, name of Rania, that Biaren was both intrigued and repelled by. They fought and wound
up in bed frequently. Though Biaren was sad to see Rania go when she walked the tables, he didn't mourn for long and moved onto someone else.

Rania came back just before a bad illness struck Ista Weyr, and she was forced to remain there while the Healers, Biaren included, worked on a
cure. They fell into bed again, though both knew it was more for the sex and companionship, not out of any romantic intent. When the illness was banished and the quarantine lifted, Rania returned to Southern where, she told him, there was a bluerider named S'dan that she was very fond of.

Biaren was upset on more than one level when the illness was over. He wanted to leave Ista because of the negative memories he had there -- many of his friends and coworkers had succumbed to the plague. He got a transfer to Mountain Song approved and was delighted to see Rania there. She explained that her bluerider was coming very soon, but there had been paperwork that held him up.

Unfortunately, said bluerider arrived at Mountain Song just in time to hear Rania and Biaren joke about sex like the old friends they were,
and Biaren decided to stay out of it when the dragonriders fought. Even when he learned they were broken up, he stayed away from Rania, seeking other bedpartners. She was a firecracker, and he'd come dangerously close to being burned. However, if she approaches him, he'll be only too glad to respond.

Besides the fight, only one other thing has marred his life at Mountain Song so far. Perianel is there as well, and she refuses to give him the time of day.

Biaren kept a low profile, flirting with the occasional female, until he Impressed a bronze flit named Pan. Unfortunately, he got into a confrontation with Perianel which left them both upset and hurting. He was shocked when bronze Isengarth came into the Stands at the Hatching and chose him as his rider. B'ren had a hard time accepting the no sex rule especially, but he's adjusted, and chooses to avoid Perianel as much as possible.

B'ren made it through Weyrling training without breaking any rules, which was a new record for him. He was only too glad to graduate and get out into the world, and Isengarth proved *his* new maturity by chasing after one of the junior golds, Vinyarth. He lost, but B'ren managed to enjoy himself anyways.

Pets:

Name: Pan
Age: 6 months
Species: Flit
Color: Bronze
Description: Very much on the small side for a bronze, Pan's tiny hide is nonetheless a deep, burnished bronze in color. There are very few markings on his hide, so that he's pretty much an even tone all over.
Personality: A bit daft at times, Pan loves getting into mischief and doing silly things. He doesn't seem to be very long on brains, acting more like a green flit than a bronze.

Crafter: Yes
Craft: Healer
Craft Rank: Journeyman
Specialties: Diseases

Dragon Name: Isengarth
Dragon Color: Bronze
Dragon Age: 1
Dragon Description: Isengarth's hide is extremely dark, seeming almost black in some places, and sometimes seeming to absorb light rather than
reflect it. His hide shades from deep tanned-bronze on his legs up to nearly black on his wings and head. He's average size, but tends to carry himself importantly, to make himself seem bigger.
Dragon Personality: A little bit arrogant, which will probably grow into a lot of arrogance as he grows and learns more. He has a witty, if sometimes caustic tongue, and likes to talk as though the world hangs on whatever he'll say. Won't even look at greens, feels they're beneath him. He only wants the best in life, and naturally B'ren is better than the best.
Strength's Weaknesses: A solid flyer, but needs some people skills work.
