Flying Almost Blind! A dramatic flight ends with a new Weyrleader

On 2.22.4678 Senior Queen Monaryth led many of the Weyr's males on one of her usual long, gruelling flights, though this was more trecherous than most, leaving most of the males flying practically blinded by the thick winter clouds, fog, and snow through mountainous terrain. The outcome: a new Weyrleader, who is also very new to Mountain Song: R'baen of Bronze Peykanth.

Another excellent hatching!

On 1.21.4678, Gold Zahavath's clutch hatched. Congratulations to the new Weyrling Class!

Dark Light Hold destroyed in Earthquake

On 4.21, it was discovered that all of Dark Light Hold had been destroyed by a sudden, and violent Earthquake. Worse than anything seen in the area since it's settlement. The Main Hold was entirely destroyed, the lake drained, and most of the outlying farms were also destroyed. Almost everyone in the vicinity was killed. There were few survivors, most injured.

Quartz River Drama

On 4.01.4677, Heir Linnar returned to Quartz River Hold after missing for two days. Upon his return, it was found that he had eloped with Caline, a girl fostered at the Hold, who had been a friend of his for two turns. This is going to create massive drama, as Linnar was all but officially betrothed to Kelissy, daughter of Lord Keliron of Steep Valley Hold.

Vinyarth's Treat of a Hatching

On 3.20.4677, the Nine egg clutch of Gold Vinyarth and Brown Reeceth produced an excellent clutch. Congratulations to the new Weyrling class!

Avalanche at Quartz River Hold!

At the end of the second month, a 'minor' avalanche injures or claimed the lives of several miners, and badly injured the Lord Holder, Lerral, who was going out to inspect the mines. Until further notice, his heir, Linnar is 'acting' Lord Holder alongside his mother, Lady Inara.
