Various Dragon Locations

Please note, once thread returns you will need to read this page carefully to make certain there are vacancies in a weyr you wish to come from.   The list of NPCs are the number of NPC riders of each color at each weyr, weyrhold, or outpost.  They'll shift as people transfer, or PC characters.  The numbers of ones with sheets (adoptable and not adoptable will also be listed in the future.)

Delandri Weyr

Delandri is the closest currently to the old system of government for the Weyrs. They have maintained the traditions and rankings to some degree of the old Weyrs. They have addapted them to their new role on Pern but they still make it a point of pride that they /do/ maintain them. For more information see the link above.
Totals: 216, (including 1gold)

Honshu Weyrhold

Representing the 'new way' for dragon riders Honshu is the largest Weyrhold on pern, housing about 735 dragons total. They boast 3 golds, though only two are young enough to actually produce clutches. They have kept some of the old traditions, but for the most part they have 'moved into the future'. See the link above for more information.
PCs: Golds: 1, Bronzes: 3, Brown: 1, Greens: 2
NPCs:  Golds: 2, Bronze: 53, Brown: 131, Blue: 179, Green: 363

Monaco Weyrhold

Monaco is much smaller than Honshu, housing only about 197 dragons, but they are the second actual weyrhold. It was formed from a merger of Monaco hold and Monaco Weyr. They have two golds but only one is young enough to produce clutches.
NPCs:  Golds: 2, Bronze: 13, Brown: 35, Blue: 49, Green: 98

Southern Outpost

Housing only 44 dragons, 90% of whom were origionally drawn from Honshu or Monaco, Southern Outpost, is as the surviving Weyrs in the north have become: A convinient point for people to come and barter for draconic services such as messanger runs, watch riders, and transportation.
NPCs:  Bronze: 3, Brown: 7, Blue: 11, Green: 23

Fort Outpost

Like Southern, Fort is an outpost that sells draconic abilities in communications and transportation, amongue other things. They serve all of the western limb of the northern continent, which includes High Reaches, Nabol, Ruatha, Fort, Southern Boll, Nabol and Tillek, they have 59 dragons, larger than any outpost but Telgar.
NPCs:  Bronze: 4, Brown: 11, Blue: 15, Green: 29

Ista Outpost

The smallest of the northern outposts with only 14 dragons, Ista covers Igen and Keroon, and the holds on Ista Island itself. Covering so few holds, they are usually lowest on the priority list for Weyrlings from Telgar Outpost, and are frequently over worked due to undermanning.
NPCs:  Bronze: 2, Brown: 2, Blue: 3, Green: 7

Benden Outpost

Benden is between the sizes of Ista and Fort. It covers Bitra hold, Benden, and Nerat, and all their subordinant holds on the eastern end of the Northern Continent. While they do not have much more to cover than Ista, Benden is viewed as a more prominent asignment, therefore they have a substantially larger number of dragons asigned to them. They also cover the rather demanding Bitra area, which is the single most profitable Hold where the dragon riders are conscerned. The fact they have 39 dragons to help cover Bitra's demand only emphasises that point.
NPCs:  Bronze: 3, Brown: 8, Blue: 9, Green: 19

Telgar Outpost

Telgar serves the central regions of Northern continent. In addition, becuase it is geographically central to all the others, all the golds in the northern continent are there. They have 2 breeding golds, and currently no retired golds. They average between 15 and 25 dragons per Turn, which are then trained and dispersed to the other northern postings, or remain at Telgar to continue duties there. This gives Telgar the effective pick of the litter. At 89 dragons, they tend to make the most of it when they can. They also have the largest compliment of bronzes by far of any weyr in the north.
NPCs:  Golds: 2, Bronze: 6, Brown: 16, Blue: 21, Green: 44

Watch Riders

Dragonriders have been assigned to crafthalls and holds as well, they retain the archaic title of 'watch rider'. While they nominally report to their regional centralize dragon-rider community they usually report more directly to the Crafthall or Holder. Bitra has 3 perminantly stationed riders, and usually is requisitioning the services of 5-10 more. If there is a major event at Bitra these numbers go up even higher. The harpers have 6 riders who are on perminant attachment to them, all journeyman Harpers as well as of dragon rider rank. The smithhall has 7. The beast, sea, and paper halls have none. The woodworker's hall has 3. The Farmer's Hall has 1. The rest have no more than 2 if they have any at all.
