Hair:  She has long black hair that hangs down to her knees and can often give her troubles.

Short Description:  She is short but with lots of curves.  She has a smattering of freckles cross her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.  She has small fingers and often bites her nails when she becomes nervous.

Personality: She is very friendly but often gets very shy especially when it comes to people she doesn’t know especially males.  She has trouble trusting adults and therefore will question orders if she they don’t make sense or she sees that they might put her in dangerous or awkward situations.  She doesn’t like to be alone in a room with anybody she doesn’t trust but otherwise she is happy and eager but sometimes a little too hyper. She can wear a lot of people out with her exuberance and people often get annoyed with her because of it.

History: She was born to a drudge Mairia in Telgar Hold and a Journeyman Smith Talan  who was just passing through the weyr at the time.  She didn’t know her father all that well and was mainly raised by her mother and taught to be a drudge until at the age of 13 she asked to stand for a clutch and was taken to Telgar Weyr.  When she arrived there she didn’t impress but began to enjoy life.  She was there for a year when she was noticed by the Outpost Leader.  She had heard rumors that he enjoyed the company of children and thought they were just rumors until one night he caught her in the halls after hours and told her to come to his office.  He attempted to seduce her that night but ended up scaring her with his advances.  Several times after that he continued to corner her throughout the weyr, making her very scared.  She was too ashamed to tell anyone what happened when he found her alone.  She never really told anyone what happened except for Irven, whom she met when he discovered her crying one morning in the Lower Caverns after one of her encounters with the Outpost Leader.  He convinced her to tell another adult what happened but no one would do anything for them, some feared the Outpost Leader, others thought they were telling lies to ruin the Outpost Leader’s reputation.  So Irven tried to intercede and keep it from happening again but the Outpost Leader threatened the boy if that he could do much worse if he told anyone or tried to interfer.  After that Taria and Irven both requested a transfer to another weyr as far away as possible.  Taria suggested Delandri because she heard about the reputation of the weyrwoman and thought she might be safer there.  It was granted and they were transferred to Delandri where they have both remained candidates but without the hopes of impression.  She doesn’t really have any hobbies but oftentimes she can be found in the kitchens helping out the cook and other drudges.  She loves to cook and was taught by a master cook at the hold but decided to stand instead of to apprentice.  She has never gotten serious with any boy and considered her relationship with Irven to be just a friendship.
